Baxter Gets Mail

Hello to all my friends out there in internetland.  My last couple of weeks have been very exciting.  The most exciting thing was that my February barkbox arrived.  What is barkbox, you ask?  It's a package that comes in the mail just for me.  Mommy and daddy got it for me for Christmas because they know how much I like getting boxes in the mail.

Mommy helped me open it.  But then I was free to sniff all the delicious contents.

Ferb, of course, came around to inspect my new stuff.

I think he was a little upset that there wasn't anything new for him.

I've been enjoying my new stuff, though.  Right away, I took the stuffed bone and buried it in the corner of Daddy's office so Ferb wouldn't take it.

Snow at Home

Everyone is probably wondering what happened when we got home.  Turns out the snow came with us.  According to the little people that live in the box in our living room, we have 13 inches outside.  That's taller than I am.  (Okay, so it's not exactly taller than me, but it is taller than my legs are long.  Have you ever had to drag your belly through snow.  I didn't think so.)  After I went outside this morning, I decided that I would spend the rest of the day resting.

Ferb, however, is very interested in the white stuff outside.  He's been sitting near the patio door looking at it.  And yes, he sleeps on two pillows.  He's such a little princess.

Finally, Mommy and Daddy opened the door so Ferb could see what the fuss was about.

He went outside for just a second, but quickly came back inside.  I guess Ferb doesn't like snow either.

You can see his footprints on the balcony from where he jumped outside and then jumped back inside.

Me, I'm spending my day on the couch.  Where I belong.  Snow doesn't excite me any more.

Baxter's Winter Adventure

So it's been a while. I've had a lot of great adventures since we last spoke. Maybe someday I'll be able to fill you in on them all. Today, though, I'll tell you about my skiing adventure. Mommy, daddy, and I are having a lot of fun. (Ferb had to stay home since he isn't really built for snow). Daddy hit the slopes this morning and Mommy and I walked around for a while.

We had a lot of fun smelling the snow and looking at the pretty scenery. (I did most of the smelling). Here's the scenery.

And the smelling.

We got tired, though. Now I'm back in the hotel room, resting up for my next adventure.

It's been a while...

but Happy St. Patrick's day!

Mommy hasn't been posting lately, but I've still been having fun.  Here I am at the St. Patrick's Day party at my school.

Pretty cool, huh?  Here I am hanging out with daddy at the party.  I'm checking out the girl doggies while daddy is waiting for mommy to come back with a beer.

(Special thanks to the photographers at the party for taking the cool pictures of me!)

Treat or Treat!

Mommy says I'm supposed to say "trick or treat" but I don't want a trick, just a treat.  I celebrated Halloween in my usual way, going to a party at my school with all of my friends!  We hung out in school and had some doggy treats!

I got to wear my costume -- a pig this year -- and only one person thought I was a girl this year!  Next year I'm going to talk to mommy about not dressing me in pink.

When I got home, though, I was really tired.  I had way too much fun playing with my school friends.

Now, about those treats.  I need some soon.  Remember, I've got my eye on you!

Going on a Road Trip

And guess what I took along?  Ferbie!  Ferb doesn't usually get to go places, but mommy and daddy decided to take him along to Aunt Heather and Uncle Mark's house last weekend.

Here we are in the car.  I had to sit in my seat, but Ferbie got to walk around the car a little bit.  He liked to sit in the beds in the way-back of the van.

He had a good time riding in the car.  He got to see a lot of stuff and mommy and daddy even let him walk outside while he was wearing his harness (a hand-me-down from yours truly) and a leash.  So mommy walked Ferb and daddy walked me at the rest stop.  Lots of fun!

He spent most of the time at Aunt Heather and Uncle Mark's in the guest bedroom 'cause my doggy cousins Jacob and Sterling are the size of horses and Ferb was kind of a scaredy cat around them.  Scaredy cat -- get it?

Hold this for me, will you?

My Grandma Linda and Grandpa Ray visited me a couple of weeks ago.  They came to visit me on an airplane from Wisconsin.  I hadn't seen them since last year when I wore a tuxedo at mommy and daddy's wedding.

I like having Grandma Linda and Grandpa Ray around because they pay more attention to me than mommy and daddy.  Grandpa Ray was willing to sit on the couch and hold my chews for me while I tackled the chewing part.  Mommy and daddy never would have done that for me.  It was a fun week with Grandma and Grandpa and I hope they come back and visit us soon!
